Python Job: AWS DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Work with internal stakeholders (Operations, IAM, Access, Development, Architecture) to provide architectural recommendations, guidance and departmental presentations.
• Lead and facilitate the design of technology projects and applications.
• Act as the subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
• Review AWS technical work.
• Develop and recommend productivity aids to accelerate delivery.
• Create and manage key architecture assets for the designated portfolio and business scope.
• Ensure sound and robust architecture and provide sufficient guidance for the successful implementation of solutions to mitigate negative enterprise technology and budget impacts.
• Identify risks or issues with technology solution and design that may impact realization of project benefits and guide and support stakeholders in making good decisions that proactively resolve or mitigate potential project risks/delays.
• Participate in the system specification review process to ensure system requirements can be translated into valid software architecture.
• Identify and research relevant technologies, perform proofs of concept and prototypes, and recommend the applications of such technologies for future product architecture.
• Provide input into the preparation of business case.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen the capability of the technology organization (e.g. sharing architectural expertise to promote technical development, mentoring employees, building communities of practice and networks).
• Stay updated on industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities, and individual learning.
• Provide architectural expertise and domain knowledge to advise and guide senior leaders.
• Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and ideate solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.

Required Skills:

• Deep understanding of and experience with: Cloud Networking VPC, security groups, HA/DR, ALB vs ELB, CDN (azure equivalent)

Able to provide a Solution Design for the customer requirements
Strong knowledge in AWS Cloud
Solid understanding in Storage and security
Solid understanding on K8 deployment, configurations, and solving
Experienced in AWS CDK IaC Framework and Serverless architectures
Good knowledge with network traffic routing and monitoring
Working experience in containers and container orchestration (K8s)
Application and platform design in cloud and multi-cloud set up
Different data storage options on cloud based on various use cases
Cloud Identity and Access Management and its implementation with application design
Cloud and data security practices and their implementation details for platform, as well as app deployments
CI/CD technologies and their implementations: AWS Code Commit, Code Pipeline, Code Deploy, Bit bucket
Multi clouds like AWS and Azure

• Ability to: Implement proof of concept solutions using python, node js, CDK, CloudFormation

Design and fundamentally demonstrate cloud network infrastructure components including Direct Connect/Express Route, cloud Ingress and egress, VPC, Routing, Transit Gateways, virtual hubs, private links, Route 53, CloudFront, ALB, subnets and SaaS Integration
Design application for serverless, container, Data and AI workloads
Work with Data scientist and ML researchers and develop data pipelines or development and deployment of models
Recommend cloud platform based on use cases
Articulate technical discussions in business language to collaborators and users of cloud platform
Develop HA and DR based solution designs for cloud
Use Python and node js for POC demonstrations
White board a solution design (this will be evaluated during the interview)
Propose the use of the ecosystem and services based on cost, security and other factors

• Strong problem-solving skills with a go-getter attitude to complete tasks
• Certifications: Certified Solutions Architect, Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Solutions Architect Professional

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $130,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
